Was it just hard to dial in the same tone because of the systems in the different venues? I used my Sterling, which also has active pickups, for recording and it did sound great. But I also had issues with tone from venue to venue We didn't have our own sound guy and had to use the venues PA and soundboard which I assumed was the culprit with my tone problems. What kind of things did you have to do live to compensate for the tone differences?

It had a great sound for the studio sessions. I struggled a bit with it live. The active EQ and pickup combination made it a bit of a handful to keep the tone consistent night to night. Plays wonderfully though.
